Vircurex.com, an online exchange dealing in Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin, Devcoin, PPCoin, IXcoin, Solidcoin and Terracoin, was taken offline for weekend on Friday, May 10th due to a possible attack on wallets hosted on Vircurex.

The exchange operator says “ The systems Vircurex and Cryptostocks have been taken offline over the weekend. Please do not deposit any further coins to your Vircurex accounts. We must assume that the wallet has been compromised. ”

This is not the first time when Vircurex suspended their operations after an hacking attack. The parties responsible for the attack remain a mystery. We advice you not to panic and wait for Vircurex to resume their services, which is expected in 48 hours.
