In today’s post we’ll discuss Ripple price prediction for 2018. At the time of writing the article, Ripple turns out to be the fourth largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization. Why are we bullish on Ripple (XRP) in 2018

First, Ripple operates in one of the largest financial markets in the world: the interbanking market . It is a much faster, safer and more cost-effective alternative to transferring money between banks; for this reason, more and more banks are likely to start using it in the coming months , and if that happens, the price will rise a lot. It is even rumored that by using Ripple, banks could save 62% of the costs of interbank transactions. By counting that the interbank system will shift thousands of billions of dollars each day , the savings would be remarkable .

Today, 75 large international banks (including UBS ,  Bank of America ) use Ripple, so many others can start using it in the coming months: when this happens, the price could literally skim up . And several other major institutes have somehow made it clear that they would like to start using it shortly (although it is not known exactly when).

Second is scalability and speed, Ripple network is capable of doing 1000 transactions per second, running 24/7. To understand how important these numbers are, just know that Bitcoin is able to do 3-6 transactions per second, and Ether only 15. Even payment confirmation is also are very fast. They arrive in just 4 seconds where Bitcoin takes 30+ minutes.

Third is transaction cost, Ripple has always focused on a very low transaction cost so be appealing to financial institutions and large companies that have millions of transactions to be made. At present, the minimum cost for a transaction is 0.00001 XRP, which may be increased in case of network overload.

Fourth, Ripple had recently announced that it was increasingly looking to expand to Asia, especially China. Ripple success in gaining a foothold in China would significantly improve the long-term prospects.

Emi Yoshikawa, Ripple’s Joint Venture Partnership Director, says:

“China is a key market for the global payment network, so we’re trying to build our local presence. Business-to-Business (B2B) with China has an annual value of $ 5 trillion and the large Chinese ecommerce market is currently lacking an efficient and cost effective solution. “
